WIC serves families who are at or below 185 percent of the federal poverty level and who have a health or nutrition need; many working families are eligible. The program provides nutritious food; nutrition education; breastfeeding support; and health screening for growth, anemia, and lead poisoning. Clients are seen by appointment only at the clinics listed below; please call 715-495-1556 to schedule an appointment.

Radon test kits

Radon is the second leading cause of lung cancer in the United States. Radon test kits are available for $10 at the Department of Health and Human Services.

Free Fluoride Supplements Available

Oral fluoride supplements are available for individuals six months through 16 years of age. A water test for those not on city water supplies is required to determine the existing level of fluoride in your water; this test can be obtained from the Health Department. Please call 608-685-6329 for more information.

Water testing

BCPH offers water testing for bacteria ($20), nitrates ($15), and arsenic ($25). It is recommended to test your private well annually. The safety of your private well is your responsibility. Please call and order a kit or stop in and pick one up at the Department of Health and Human Services.
